Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Seekle is a daily puzzle game. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to get it removed. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not run ads.
Who we are
Seekle is operated by the makers of the Seekle app. If you have a question about anything here, write to support@seekle.app.
Your phone number
You sign in with your phone number. We send a one-time code by SMS and store your number so we can recognise you on your next sign-in and so friends can find you. We never post to your number, and we do not use it for marketing. Delivery of the code is handled by our SMS provider, who processes your number only to send that message.
Your profile
We store the username you choose, your time zone (so your daily game starts at midnight where you are), and your game history: which games you played, your scores, and the sets you found. Usernames and scores are visible to other players on leaderboards you appear on.
Contacts
Seekle can suggest friends who already play. This only happens if you tap to connect your contacts and grant permission in iOS. When you do:
- We upload the phone numbers and names in your address book to our servers and store them there.
- We use them only to match your contacts against existing Seekle accounts and suggest people you may know.
- We never sell, rent, or share your address book, and we do not message anyone in it on your behalf.
- Your uploaded contacts are deleted when you delete your account. You can also revoke contacts access in iOS Settings at any time.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, Apple issues a push token for your device and we store it so we can send you reminders and friend activity. The token identifies the device, not you personally. Turning notifications off in iOS Settings stops them, and we remove stale tokens automatically.
Purchases and subscriptions
Seekle Unlimited is sold through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to record whether your subscription is active, which product you bought, and when the current period ends, so the app knows to unlock unlimited plays. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf as a service provider.
Analytics and session replay
We use PostHog to understand how people use Seekle: which screens get opened, where players drop off, and which builds have problems. PostHog also records replays of app and website sessions so we can see broken layouts and confusing flows for ourselves. Text you type into input fields is masked in those recordings, so we do not capture what you write. PostHog processes this data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
Cookies
seekle.app uses analytics cookies from PostHog to count visits. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
How long we keep things
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Game history is retained so your streaks and personal bests stay accurate. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. Deleting your account removes your profile, phone number, uploaded contacts, push tokens, and game history.
Deleting your data
Email support@seekle.app from a device signed in to Seekle, or include your username, and we will delete your account and everything attached to it. We aim to complete deletions within 30 days. You can also ask for a copy of your data at the same address.
Children
Seekle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
Data is stored on managed infrastructure, encrypted in transit, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfect, but we treat phone numbers and contacts as the most sensitive things we hold and handle them accordingly.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
